The only way to learn whether or not someone is the real deal, is to try out their services. But all too often, I see people call on advertisements based on some discount or they go to an open house and just start "working with" an agent to find a home.
Very few agents will open themselves up to an interview, especially for buyers. Now I work by referral, so many times, the people I speak with are looking forward to my call or they're calling me. But since this is a website and I realize my websites get about 2000 hits per month, I know there's a lot of people out there just checking things out. I'd like to earn your business as well. | |

Ask yourself this, how many Realtors® in your travels have invited you to have a cup of coffee? Just to chat. To have an actual conversation, where you get to ask me questions and I might ask you some questions that help you formulate your real estate goals.
This business isn't all about emails and phone calls. It's about personal customer service and professional consultation that's worth something. It's about mutual respect. I only work with people who understand this concept. |
If you are a buyer who is out there just calling on houses and using zillow.com to look for houses, your home search is in great need of improvement. Looking on your own is fine, but when you're ready to buy, it's important to not just "work with an agent" that you meet at an open house, but to form a truly trusting relationship.
